I’m a newby to WordPress and this is my first ever attempt at creating a website.

I’ve installed ‘Ready! Backup’ plugin (the free version) and have run the backup on my website. However I don’t know where the backup is actually being saved to. It says FTP, what is that?

I can’t find anything saved to my computer. How do I know it has actually worked and what it has actually saved? I want it to backup the whole site including the theme, text, photos etc.

    Many thanks
    Elise

    Hello.
You can download your backuped files directly from backup admin options page (there are tab with all your backups – just click to Download there). Also, FTP – is a way that you can access your server files, you can find more info in internet, your current FTP credentials you can find under your hosting account.

    Hi,

Why can’t I find the backups on FileZilla, please? In what folder should they be?

    Thanks, A.

Hello, I’m entering this thread. I can see the sql and txt files on ftp at the path you mentioned above. I can’t see the backups within the plugin settings. I have tried clicking on the backups tab and the restore tab. No backup files even show up. Can you tell me if this is normal?
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hello.
Did you selected some other options except database backup in plugin options tab?

Found them, thank you so much.

    Hello Ready Backup,
This is Jim. Yesterday, I tried just clicking “Backup Now” right after a fresh install and activation. Then I went to options and set full backup, save, then back to main tab and hit Backup Now. Both times, I saw the process bar and when finished, I clicked SAVE.
Yesterday(11-6-14) I could not see anything in the actual plugin interface. Today (11-7/14) I tried what you said , Options/database only and ran another backup. This was a quick process and after clicking save, I went to look at backuops tab. Now I see yesterday’s two backups but not today’s.
Is it possible that it just takes a number of hours for them to actually show up?
