so apparently Wordfence said that the readme of a plugin I have installed has been modified I havent been that, according to the diff it’s just that author stuff and copyright date has been changed? is this a super weird hack of sorts?

Hi @my1xt, thanks for getting in touch.

It has been known for plugin developers to occasionally make a very minor update such as this and not increment the version number of their plugin. As a result, Wordfence will spot that a core plugin file for that version release no longer match and will flag the change. This seems like a case of that.

This should get spotted and updated when our servers check for latest plugin repository versions, but this happens at set intervals during the week so can appear modified for up to 48 hours, or slightly less depending on timing of your scans.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
