Reading Reports is not Managing

  • I’m leaving 5 stars, even though it only feels 1 star. It was a solution in search of a problem, so I’m not going to hurt the rating.

    This isn’t managing your store, this is running reports. While reports aren’t helpful to us (30 WooCommerce store, 10 ebay stores, 5 Amazon stores, etc all pipe into one ERP system where we do our reporting), I could see this being interesting for people with only one store. I just don’t agree with wording it as “managing” your store. My reason for speaking up is my eternal fear that all companies replace functionality with flashy, but useless, javascript. A very common theme in this industry.

    I agree with you that these reports don’t fully describe managing your store. The long term plan for WooCommerce Admin (this plugin) is that we’ll modernise every single screen in the admin section of WooCommerce. Which is why we say in the description that this plugin is to manage your store.
