ReaderType dynamic?

  • Hi Thomas, I know you are very busy, not an urgent question: But I noticed how the readertype is set based on how fast a reader scans or reads trough a page.

    So if ‘reader’ timedelay is set to 20 seconds and visitor reaches pagebottom within that time, he/she is set as ‘scanner’ But if that visitor then stays on the page for more then 20 seconds, perhaps decided to read the content completely, there is no update to the readertype? Did I set it incorrectly, or is this a feature that would be nice to add to the plugin?

    Hi,

    Yes, once the user hit the bottom of the content or the bottom of the page, the script marks this point and does not resend any event when the user scrolls to the top and re-reads the content.

    Good point: maybe a checkbox for this could be cool so that everyone can decide whether the plugin should stop scroll tracking on page/content bottom or not.
