“Read this post in a different language” feature/plugin

  • I’m trying to find a plugin which would allow to publish only elected posts in alternative languages with no luck – all of those I came across work by creating multi language site and require translating every single post for each language.

    Most of my page is photo-heavy or doesn’t require translation, but every now and then I would like to post something in 2-3 languages with some button to click and switch between them, only for that selected post.

    I know I can simply add multiple copies of the same post, but it’s a very unprofessional looking solution that would also clutter the page.

    Is there any way to achieve this? Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

  • not sure which plugin you tried.. WPML and Polylang allows you to only translate selected post to other languages

    Sadly both work exactly in the way I don’t want them to – Polylang creates a https://www.mywebsite.com/LANGUAGE/ URL where only the translated posts appear.

    All I want is a button under a selected post to read it in a different language, not the entire multilingual copy of the site.
