"read only" overlay – pdf

It depends on the visitors PDF reader plugin but you can try adding ?toolbar=0 to the PDF link href url.

I see. However, that would require that I do that for over 60 pages and over 2000 links – something I would love to avoid if the result is not satisfactory to begin with.

Do you know of any alternatives to this? Overlaying or showing pdf (in query page) in a “somewhat secure” way? Secure in the sense of being “read only”.

Can’t help you with that, sorry. I’ll consider your question as a feature request though and I’ll be looking for a way to get this as an option in the plugin.
