Read more tag not working

We were all set to post the latest blog using adamrob parallax scroll, to compliment our posting methods, I inserted the WordPress “Read more” tag after the first image and publically published the post.
The read more tag did not work with the parallax style. The link did not take me to the appropriate screen with the full parallax blog, rather it acted like an empty link, not going anywhere.
When I clicked on the blog header to access the full blog, a similar glitch occurred, the more tag remained on the background image and did not open up the full post.
We would really like to post this post that was designed using the Adamrob parallax scroll – is there a way we can use the read more tag (in a working version) and enjoy the published post?
I am not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue. We are using Twenty Sixteen as a theme.
