Read more tag is not working

  • I am having a website which is using Astra theme. The read more tag is not working even though i have selected the excerpt option in the reading section.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Did you guys mean the Read more link is not showing up underneath the excerpt?

    If that’s the issue, please check if the Post which doesn’t have the Read more link doesn’t have a custom excerpt added.

    Adding some text in the Excerpt field will show that text only which is added to that Excerpt field without the ‘Read More’ link. This is the default behavior of WordPress.
