Read more tag – can't put in the place i want

  • Edditing one of my posts i can’t put read more tag in the place i want. It’s automatically jumps only in the one place no matter where i am putting my cursor. Strange, because in my second post there is no problem, it is working fine.

  • Can you temporarily switch to a WordPress default theme, like Twenty Sixteen and see if the issue persists?

    I haven’t done it. Does it some how will effect my site,plugins etc.?

    Your site will temporarily look different due to the different active theme, but apart from that, no changes.

    Yes, in Twenty Sixteen i have the same issue.

    Then I’m afraid it’s not a theme related issue.

    Temporarily disable all your plugins (if you have caching plugins, empty the cache before disabling), clear your browser’s cache and retry. If the issue goes away start enabling plugins one by one while checking to see which one is causing the problem.

    Alternatively you can try posting in the general WordPress support forum here, perhaps someone might have had a similar issue and resolved it somehow.
