"Read more" shows huge button or won't go away

  • I installed the plug-in today and I like it. It gives me the flexibility I need.
    One thing I experience is that I will get a huge grey button when I choose the “Read More” option (see https://bespractice.de/). When I deactivate the “Read More” option I will still have a string “…Read more →” after each excerpt. Yet that string doesn’t have a link within.

    How can I just link the text “…Read more →” to the permalink? Or display a “…” with the permalink behind the “…Read more →” string but not as a big grey button but just as a text??

    I’m sorry for late reply, the “Read more →” string is from your theme. Please try to reduce the excerpt words.

    Of course… I noticed that the other day. And I also realized that the “Read more” is not inserted by the widget but is coming from the actual post (where the “More” tag sits).
    So sorry for the stupid question.

    I reduced the number of letters in the excerpt and also adjusted the “Read more” button in the theme.
