    It’s an anchor link.

    The #more-22 part means that when a user clicks the “read more” link on a excerpt, they will automatically be taken to the point in the single post where the “more” tag has been added – so they can continue reading from that point.

    It can be useful if a site uses long excerpts.

    My blog and many of the blogs I follow don’t have that, but I suspect it may be due to all of us using an accessibility plugin. Sorry for the extra question, it’s on me to track this one down.

    You can use a plugin to remove the “jump” link if you’d prefer:
