Read more button in header not clickable

@ravanh, I just tested in Safari, Chrome and Firefox on this post, which has a featured image set, on the Harmonic Demo site and the read more button takes me down to the content. I also tested on my iPhone and iPad and they all take me to the content when I tap on Read More.

As a first suggestion, visit the demo site post I linked to above and see if it works for you. A second suggested test, would be to disable all plugins you have installed and see if it works then. If so, enable the plugins one at a time and see which one is causing the issue.

Yes, on wp.com the theme works just fine but I have the impression the .org version is somewhat different. I’ll try to set up a test site without any plugins to see if the problem(s, maybe the header image issue is related?) are gone…

OK, I set up a stand-alone WordPress with Harmonic and no plugins activated. The issue is there for me on Firefox, Chrome (latest versions), Opera 12 (pre-chromium engine, where also the header menu is missing) and on a Nexus 4 w/ Android 5.1.1 + Chrome. I have not tested on IE.

The strange thing is that on a Nexus 10 with same Android and Chrome versions, the Read More link works. Both in landscape and in portrait position.

I’d like to add I’m having the same problem. The Read More even took on my custom CSS for styling a button that has a link. Just not clickable!

I also did the same troubleshooting. I’m running the latest WordPress build on WP 4.3.1 and Theme version 1.0.11. I also have Jetpack connected if that would help any.

For now, I will probably try to hide the button until this is fixed.

While the WordPress.com’s version of the page does work for me. It just doesn’t work on the .ORG side built on my rented linux server. When I hover on WordPress.com, I see a link pop up in the bottom of my browser to indicate if I click, I’ll move down to the rest of the content.

When I’m on my theme build, this is not the case. Nothing happens when I hover over Read More.

I am also noticing a slight difference in code here. The WordPress.com site has an extra Header 2 tag with a link in it before the read more button.

Sorry about this – there is an issue with the Read More button in version 1.0.11 of Harmonic, we’ll get it fixed up soon and keep you posted here.

As a temporary fix until the next version of the theme is released, you can go into the theme’s style.css file and comment out line 1407:

This issue should be fixed in version 1.0.12 of Harmonic, which has just been added to the theme directory.
