I used this plugin on a wp.com website and it took down the site. Normally you get a message about an error on non-wp.com websites. This isn’t the case. I had tech support deactivate the plugin, then I deleted it, but Complete Uninstall wasn’t checked. (My bad)

I installed Code Snippets on a local and worked out the code problem…

My question is… if I install this plugin again on wp.com and activate it will the bad snippet be active and take my site down again?

And if the answer is yes, any suggestions as how to install the plugin without the bad snippet being active?

    I love this plugin…
    Thanks…

    Hi Kevin,

If you have access to your database, you can go in and change the status of the active column in the snippets table to deactivate specific snippets.

Otherwise, you should be able to make use of our safe mode feature to temporarily deactivate snippets, allowing you to login and manually deactivate the one causing an issue. You can find out how to use safe mode here: https://help.codesnippets.pro/article/12-safe-mode

Thanks, Shea. I’ll give that a try. The link to the help throws a 404 though.

My apologies, I’ve fixed that up now.
