    Hi Mike,

We do not offer any paid services but we do have a discretionary increase we can give you if you email support “at” backup-technology.co.uk.

However, you likely do not need an increase.

When the limit of 100MB is reached it will automatically remove old versions of files to drop you back below the quota.

Generally the time you should worry is when your blog itself is more than 50MB. If you go to Activity Log and look at Total Size column – this reflects the size of your blog. Backup Size is just the amount of changed data that had to be backed up.

    Hi Jason,

Understand and in fact due to some other website issues I have sorted this out by downloading a full backup and reseting the backups, so capacity is now greatly reduced.

    Hi Mike,

If the used space reaches 100%. There is nothing to worry about, as long as the backup does not fail. If the backup succeeds I would ignore the fact it is 100%.

Full does not necessarily mean bad. It just means when the next backup runs it will begin overwriting old backups. The plugin will manage everything for you when it comes to the 100MB, and it’ll make sure to be efficient with the space and store as many backup as it can fit.

When backup fails because there isn’t enough space, and overwriting isn’t an option, that’s the point you will need help: At that point, email support “at” backup-technology.co.uk and we can usually give a free quota increase where required. This will only be necessary if a single backup of your blog grows beyond 100MB.

    Regards,

    Jason

    Hi fowlerwp,

You need to email support “at” backup-technology.co.uk your username for the online vault, and request an amount you need. They can increase storage for you if the request is reasonable.

We do not offer online backup to anywhere else but our servers. But you could use your unlimited storage by using local backups. Just be sure to download the backups regularly so they are kept separate from your site.
