    Hi,

Am sure many of you would be using wordfence one of the best, but anyone along with plugin easy-fancybox for popups, today early wordfence detected readme.txt file inside plugins/easy-fancybox having bad url (a l – b a d a r . n e t) which is one of phishing site in google listed phishing sites, my worry here is why it detected today when this plugin is in use since long or is that readme.txt was modified which again i dont see it as per time/date stamp, would request to let me know if any one with similar or if anyone can test.

    Thanks

  • Hi Ghostrider07 – I just found your post while checking for comments about this same issue. I have this plugin installed in a lot of websites I maintain (mainly older ones) and as with you the timestamp hasn’t changed. To save any problems if it is legitimate I have deleted the online txt file as it doesn’t affect the plugin and like you will await any further news updates.

Same thing just happened to me, not sure how to delete it…

I fact I can’t even find it…im looking in file manager…maybe wordfence deletes it?

semperaye to delete the txt file you need to go to the plugins folder of your wordpress installation i.e. under wp-content->plugins and find the easy-fancybox folder and inside that folder you will see the .txt file and then you can delete it

    Ty Mark!
