• I had almost a thousand registered users on my blog, most of which were spam registrations. I decided to delete the users that i thought were spam. i started to delete them in the user area of the Dashboard but became frustrated that i could only view the users in alphabetical order, there seemed no way to view by date registered for example. So I decided to go to the database using phpMyAdmin and delete them there, which seems to have worked. However, retuning to the user area of the Dashboard although only the remaining users show up in the list, the user count at the top still shows the old figure of 973 where as it should now be 49. Is there anything I can do to to have the totals count at the top reflect the deletions I made.

When i deleted the users from the database I deleted from the ‘users’ table only. I’ve looked again at the database and I’m guessing here, but looks like I should have made corresponding deletions from the ‘usermeta’ table, if this is the case, is there a simple way to put things right?
