• Hi,
    Hope youre well!

I change a translation value to Text A, it updates the site.
Then I rewrote the translation again to Text B and now it wont change.
    What I have tried:
Deleted translation (leave blank) > save > sync
Delete translation files (mo and po) > The plugin still runs my translationfile?
Reloaded translation files > still same

    Why is it like this?
    – Tried 3 different browsers
    – Cleaned cache
    – Tried another computer and browser

    Many thanks,
    Patrik

If the value “Text B” is saved in your MO file then the file editor has done its job. Have you verified it is saved correctly? If it is then your plugin is loading another file from the one you think it is. See loading order.

    Hi Tim,
I translated 110 strings in this language file.
I can only translate each string 1 time, after that no plugin “accepts” the change.
The English value for this specific field was: Access Key
I made a translation to: TextB:

    So i added the :
    That generated a result as:
    TextB::

Went back, and only changed to TextB (without ??
When looking at “Source” tab for my translation file i can see that the value is TextB

I restarted PHP, disabled cache plugin.

Is there a easy way to completely make a full DELETE of this plugin for reinstallation?

    Many thanks

Deleting this plugin is unlikely to make any difference to your problem. Removing it will not delete anything outside of its own folder. This is on purpose.

If you want to delete your translations, you can do that via the Loco Translate file delete function, or directly on your server if you know how to do that.

    Hello,

I have the same issue. I have added a translation of the original English text in my newly created language. It worked.

After, I decided to alter the translated text, and it DOES NOT WORK, the changes do not show up.

Same, tried everything related with cache, browsing data.. different devices.. Changes do not take effect.

If author would want to look into this, I would be more than happy to provide my wordpress log in details.

You can use as many capital letters as you like, but as I’ve said already – If the updated string is saved into the MO file then the plugin has done its job and something else is causing your problem.

Debugging your site/server is beyond the level of support offered. If you want me to look into anything, please provide sufficient detail to reproduce the issue.

    Hello Tim,

How can I reach you, so I you could look into this issue further?

You have reached me. I am here.

    As I said:

If you want me to look into anything, please provide sufficient detail to reproduce the issue.

If you can’t post a useful bug report you will have to solve the issue on your own, or at least debug your own site so you can show some evidence of a fault in my plugin.

I would like to reach you in private, so I could reproduce the issue for you. How can I reach you in private?

    Kind reminder, Tim.

Please don’t prod me for answers.

I don’t offer private help. This forum is where support is provided. If you’re able to post a useful bug report, please post it.
