Re the new subscribe option

    Regarding 1.) It does send the content automatically to the subscribers. You can access all data about your subscribers when you claim your feed (see under question 2 in the plugin).

    Regarding 2.) There is no autoresponder (currently)

    Wow, thank you for the very prompt response.

    Regarding 2) – I realise there is no autoresponder available (I like the “currently” though! :-)) However, I have an existing autoresponder through iContact, and I wondered if there was a way to use this subscription option to collect names for that as well. The form from iContact is too wide and can’t be altered, and the widget for WordPress and iContact isn’t working and there has been no support for months.

    If you take a look at the header and link “Closer Walk” in the sidebar here: https://shirleycorder.com/well-balanced-word-count/ you’ll see how I’ve got round it, but I’d prefer to put a simple form in the sidebar.
