• When I upload images to my blog, they are being re-sized so they are 128 pixels wide. However, I would prefer the original image dimensions to be retained. Can I do this through WordPress, or do I have to FTP the images separately?

    Thanks

    Paul

  • This new (and un-documented) feature tries to “protect” the users from uploading an image whose size would destroy the layout and/or having a huge image in the text input area ??
Even when clicking “original size” WP will display a thumbnail size image in the post, though it is linked to the original image! (I know, I know, it’s confusing, but that’s how it is.)
If you are using the RTE (wysiwyg) editor, simply click the image in the posting area and drag its corner to make it of the size you want

Thanks for the suggestion. However, if I use that method, I’m guessing blindly as to whether I am returning the image to the correct size. I have to drag it, then go into the HTML to check what size it is. If it’s not right, I have to go back and drag it again. Surely, this isn’t right.

I was wondering how this worked too. I uploaded 2 images, one of which was 168px wide x 239px high. It was resized to 67 x 96. The other image did resize to 128 wide. I would like to know what the default resizing is so I can predict it.

    Thanks! Miriam
