I’m brand new and have done some research on this. Looks like about 8 months ago you said there’s a reverse order in Advanced Settings. I do not see that. I uploaded 22 images using drag/drop (great feature) but now the drag/drop to re-order is all but useless. Completely tedious. I guess the only option is to recreate and add one at a time with them in the order I want. Any other solutions? Suggestion would be to be able to sort by file name. I have mine numbered. Thanks.

  • Hi

You’re right that we don’t have something very convenient for reordering slides. It’s planned for the future but will require a decent amount of restructuring of the code to get it working.

There is one way, but its a bit advanced. You could right-click a slide and press inspect. Now you’re in the browser dev tools looking at the source code. From there you can manually update the “menu_order” option for each slide (you can search for that string). Then back on the settings page, press save to send that ordering back to the server. Refresh and you should be good. It’s a bit advanced but not something that you can break.

If you have any questions let me know.

Now that the error issued are resolved I successfully dragged to re-order my 22 slides. I’m about to do another one with 150 slides. What is the ideal way to add them so that they will come up in the desired order given the realities of what is available? Thanks again.

    Hi,

You could try the method I mentioned above, or otherwise add them slowly and reorder as you go so that it doesn’t become unwieldy.

Thanks. I’ll try that. I believe it’s adding them at the bottom so if I start with #1 and keep adding that’ll work. Too bad that I can’t bulk upload and have them retain their order though! Just sayin’ ??

Yeah, I know. I wish I had a better solution. Working on a new version soon and I’ll make sure reordering is very convenient. Thanks
