    Hi there,

The plugin is actually very usefull.

Nevetheless i have an issue when i change category to a post belongs to the re-ordered category.

The post included in the specific category remains there after removing this category (removing the post from the category). Reseting the order gives me a fresh list but then i have to sort the posts again.

    Hey @svan76

thanks for starting a new thread ??

The post included in the specific category remains there after removing this category (removing the post from the category).

I tested this recently and found it to work just fine.

Can you test this on a local installation with only this plugin enabled and a default WordPress theme to see if you are still facing this issue?

it is possible that another plugin/theme is interfering with the post update process, and the plugin is not able to trigger the reorder post status update.

Hi again, I’ve tested with a fresh installation (5.6.2) and only this plugin installed and the problem remains.

Looking into more depth, i’ve ended up with a strange bug.

First of all i am describing the status in order to reproduce the case.
    We have 3 categories namely, CAT1, CAT2, CAT3
We assign some posts in these categories.
    Lets say P1->CAT1, P2->CAT1, P3->CAT1,CAT2
IMPORTANT: Assign exactly 2 categories in P3
Reorder posts in CAT1. The order doesn’t matter (we get P1,P2,P3)
Edit post P3 and deselcet CAT1
Go to reorder page for CAT1 (P3 is still there)

In any other case the plugin works perfectly! If you have only one category per post or more than 2 or remove one category and add another one there is no problem.

thanks for testing on a fresh installation.

I ran some test, and I am not able to reproduce your error.

IMPORTANT: Assign exactly 2 categories in P3
Reorder posts in CAT1. The order doesn’t matter (we get P1,P2,P3)
Edit post P3 and deselcet CAT1
Go to reorder page for CAT1 (P3 is still there)

removing a term from a post correctly removes it from that term’s reorder list.

Is your site on a public server?
