• Plugin re-optimizes already optimized images several times. Credits are lost again and images lose quality every time. This happens if you change the WordPress theme or if the plugin is reinstalled. It cannot be stopped and money is lost. I wrote to technical support, but they only apologize that this is happening. I do not recommend using it if you do not want to lose money.

    Hi, Antonio4040,

I’m sorry you have experienced this issue. I’d like to clarify a few points:

    • As we have probably explained you already, there are situations when the images that were previously compressed appear as un-optimized and they are processed again by ShortPixel Image Optimizer. This happens when our logs from the WordPress metadata are missing, and the plugin “believes” that the images aren’t compressed. Just to be clear, this issue may happen if another plugin or theme removes our image optimization data; we have no control over this.
    • In cases like this, we are more than happy to help you find out what third party service is the one making ShortPixel recompress all images.
    • Also, in cases like this, we make sure you do not lose your money because we usually help you with some extra credits courtesy of ShortPixel, even though the issue is not related to us.
    • It seems that at some point you stopped replying to us by e-mail, so feel free to do it and we will be happy to keep helping you.

In any case, we appreciate all kind of feedback, good or bad.

    Thank you!
