Today I exported my blog and imported it into a new installation of WordPress. Everything went great. The only problem that I’ve got is that on some of my posts I have images. If I wasn’t going to be moving files on my old site around I would probably just leave them. But, I can’t. Is there an easy way to re-upload and re-link the images or will I have to go through every post and re-upload each image?

  • I don’t know if this is the final answer, but when I imported from blogger and to my own dowmain name wordpress, I had to re-upload each and every image file. It was a pain in the butt, but it ensured a “clean” installation of wordpress that wasn’t hinging on old links.

Probably not what you wanted to hear.

The old site was running WordPress as well, if that helps any, hopefully! lol

I corrected the problem. I used the Search and Replace plugin. I uploaded the images to the new domain and then used the Search and Replace plugin to search for the old URL and replace it with the new one.
