    Hi everyone,

We have recently received reports from a few merchants who stated that since the installation/upgrade of the Afterpay plugin v2.2.0 (which was released on 26 Aug 2020), they had been experiencing issues on their websites. Symptoms include but are not limited to: images/pages not loading properly, broken navigation bar, etc.

The team did an initial investigation, and found that most of those issues were caused by an error in a JavaScript file generated by a third party plugin that combined and minified all JavaScript files on the website.

While it is still under investigation, if you are experiencing similar issues on your website after upgrading the Afterpay plugin to the latest version, we suggest that you first find out if any JavaScript concatenation plugins are installed and activated on your website. If so, please try disabling that for the time being and see if it fixes the problem. If the issues persist, please reach out to us. The team is more than happy to help.

The team is particularly interested in receiving access to a staging instance where the behaviour can be reproduced. This will greatly expedite development of a more permanent solution. If such an instance is available, please share a link to the frontend where the JavaScript error is present.

    Thank you.
