After using autofocus-theme on 3.1.3 everything got coorupted and I can’t get into the dashboard anymore, nor have I backed the blog up properly. Is there a way to re-install wp, replacing the current corrupted installation through ftp-upload? Is it also possible to save the posts and images as long as I can fetch them through FTP? The theme, plugins and widgets are unimportant.

To Govpatel. It’s right that it works with twenty-ten (both of them), but at magnemyhren.n/WP/ there are trouble when I try to activate any other theme.

And that is why I think that there are som fundamental wrong.

No – that won’t rectify any database issues you might have.

Shouldn’t it be possible to re-install wordpress at magnemyhren.no/WP/ ? Otherwise there shouldn’t be any reason for back-ups, should there?

Are this two installs using the same database or do they both have different database.

I built the new one magnemyhren.com about a week ago from scratch. I exported posts, comments eg fram withing the old installation at magnemyhren.no/WP/’s dashboard, exported a file and imported it into the newly created magnemyhren.com. The copying worked about 90% as some of the images didn’t follow the process, but I hav downloaded the content via ftp to my harddrive, so nothing is really lost.
I’ve not dared to import any export fraom the php-admin-panel, as I am afraid of doing it wrongly.

I’m just afraid of posting new posts to an unstable system.

What about upgrading to 3.2? Could that be some sort of solution?

This is an example of what is happening when I try to install a proper plugin, as it does with most plugins I have tried now. (They work fine at magnemyhren.com): I installed Validated and as a result I got this message on the top of the dashboard:

Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0! Usage of user levels by plugins and themes is deprecated. Use roles and capabilities instead. in /customers/d/c/b/magnemyhren.no/httpd.www/WP/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3387

I’ve successfully installed 3.2, but these odd messsages still occurs when I install such as this plugin; validated, or many other plugins. Hm…

It seems reasonable stable no, so I close the topic.
