Re: increased alerts from amazon aws

  • Hi,

    Any WF user seeing increased login attempt alerts from amazon aws US ips ?
    below are some amazon ips, i have received in last 2 days, also need to understand why there is sudden spurt in alerts, till last week i was getting 1-2 a day and in last 2 days almost 50+ at regular intervals.

  • Same here. Most of them are coming from 52 block, supposedly from different regions of the US.

    I have notified Amazon of the abuse through their form. Don’t know what Amazon is doing with these reports, but will see if they shut them down.

    I get huge amounts of criminal traffic from AWS. Amazon makes money re AWS, it’s impossible for them to know which of their customers are criminal and which are not. Reporting to them is whack-a-mole and not with taking time out of our allotted minutes we get to be here on the planet. Amazon has zero incentive to block criminals they make money from. This is the dark underbelly of the whoop-te-doooo cloud we hear so much positive press about. It’s only going to get worse. Glad we have Wordfence but until Wordfence and others are more proactive the degradation will continue. MTN

    Is there any specific method of approaching amazon for this or just as abuse complaint ? if you have any direct link request to share as i too would like to raise it though i am already taking it up through my dc team.
