• I recently installed WP on my server under the domain, indiegolf.com using Fantastico. However, when I attempt to access it via https://indiegolf.com/wp-admin, I get re-directed to this URL: https://indiegolfcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ , which is my old WP.com blog.

How do I access my .org blog? Do I need to change the nameserver, where I bought the indiegolf.com domain (Whois.com)? Do I remove the indiegolf.com domain on the WP.com blog? Or, do I need to delete the whole WP.com account?

  • Do I remove the indiegolf.com domain on the WP.com blog?

    Yes. Contact support at wordpress.com.

I asked [email protected] for help and they said I needed to change my nameserver to direct to the hosting server. I did this (ns5.hostito.com and ns6.hostito.com), but now I just get a “Cannot Find Server” page. I explained this to the .com support staff and they said I should get help from the .org support staff.

I feel as though something is not directing properly, whether it’s from my server (Hostito), the domain registrar (Whois), or WP.com, where I purchased a re-direct address to indiegolf.com.

Any help here would be very much appreciated.

It can take a few hours for the new server info to get out over the web so if you tried a few minutes after the changes, try going back and trying again.

Also double check that all the changes were made correctly, double your host info and also double check the changes at WP.com I have sent things a long way away with the wrong key stroke.
