Re Captcha error?

    We are having an issues with contact form 7 after the last update. We get the message “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” with an orange border after submitting the form. This seems to be due to having google re captcha enabled. If it is removed the form submit works. Could you advise as to why this is now failing when connecting with captcha. Please note the site is hosted with Siteground and this is still failing when all SG cache is disabled.

    I have some questions/suggestions that can help you understand why this behavior occurred on your site:

    1. Are you using the built-in reCAPTCHA v3 module or an extension to use reCAPTCHA v2? If it’s a third party extension, you should make sure it’s up to date and still works (some plugins are often abandoned over time)

    2. Did you make sure that the reCAPTCHA keys corresponded to the correct version (v2 or v3) and that they were up to date? What I usually do when a customer tells me that he has problems with reCAPTCHA is to generate new keys for the version the site is using, it works 99% of the time.

    Hi

    Yes we are using captcha V3 as recommended and not a plug-in to revert back to V2.

    I have created new V3 credentials and added them with no change.

    Please advise on the next steps?

    I haven’t had a reply regarding how this issue can be fixed?

    I have also seen another user that has posted a similar comment here regarding the contact form failing whilst hosting with Siteground, the last comment from this user was that captcha was disabled to resolve the issue. this of course is not ideal.

    Could you please get back to me regarding this issue and why contract from 7 has all of a sudden stopped working with captcha?

    I’m not sure if this is a reCAPTCHA issue. On your site reCAPTCHA is seemingly working correctly.
