Re-Assigning deleted User's generic email to new UserName
-
I, as admin, created a Username (“krishoyt”, her firstlastname) using the name of the person whose job it was to monitor the generic email address “coordinator@…” for her organization, one of many with staff who are Subscribers to one of our Sites.
But she left, and a new person took that position, and so because you can’t change a username, I deleted the old User entirely and tried to create a New User for the new employee, paulsnyder, with the same old email address (“coordinator@…”)
However, I’m getting an error message that says “Sorry, that email address is already used!”
So does deleting a User not also purge the email, password, real name, etc? If not, does this mean that we’ll never be able to use “coordinator@…” ever again?
But if there’s a way around this problem, please let me know.
