My site is still under construction, but here is a screenshot for one of the pages it’s appearing on:

    Thank you ??

The image is not much to go on. The url would allow us to see what theme you are using and hence see if its a www.remarpro.com theme, check software versions, check the page markup and styles, check the console for javascript errors and run markup, css and security diagnostics.

Thank you. What am I supposed to check for (and when I find it, what am I supposed to do with it?).

This person had the same issue and it was resolved (but doesn’t explain HOW it was resolved–just removing the [raw] and [/raw] code from the editor doesn’t work because they magically appear again. Thanks for your help. ??

If you can post your site url, people here on the forum can do the checks I mentioned.

I’ve had a look at the thread link you give and one author thinks that the unwanted tags are coming from the woocommerce plugin. So we’re looking for something in your setup that is out of date.

    – if you are using a cache plugin, it might be showing the old page after you have deleted the tag. Empty the cache and deactivate the cache plugin during development.
    – check that you are using the latest version of WooCommerce, 2.1.8.
    – check any relevant plugins, are you using the latest version. Find out the last time they were updated. If they have not been updated for a while they may have been abandoned by their author.
    – deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. If that solves the problem, reactivate plugins one at a time until you can identify which plugin is causing the problem.

There are further steps if something above doesn’t fix it.

I am using the latest versions of WooCommerce and WordPress. I will check the other plugins. Thanks… btw, what are the other steps?

I am still getting the [raw] tags on my pages (really weird that it keeps adding itself even when I delete the tags in the editor).

    What else should I do?

I would still like your url to be able to do basic checks. However, these are the next steps:

Take a backup if you have not done so recently.

I see that the Rebecca theme removed the raw tags in version 1.2.1. That could apply to other themes which may not yet have been updated. Check you are using the latest version of your theme. Switch to the default theme TwentyFourteen to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems. You can reset the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

Finally a rebuild, re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress and WooCommerce. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

Oh my… thank you. I just wrote to the author of the theme and to woocommerce; hopefully the fix will be easier than all that. If I can’t fix it in the css editor or if they can’t fix it on on their end, I’ll just look for a different ecommerce platform.

Thank you so much lorro… you have been super sweet to help me. ??

Hopefully they can fix it, but if not, WooCommerce is the most popular WordPress eCommerce plugin, so it might be easier to look for a different theme which is WooCommerce compatible.

Funny thing is that Woocommerce was included with the theme I purchased. ;-/
    (It even states, “Woocommerce Supported”.)
Thank you again for your help, lorro!
