Ratings forms broken after recent update.

  • Hello.

    I just checked on a ratings page that my judges will be using this weekend. The page renders weird and has a message “There has been a critical error on this website.”. So far, ratings pages are the only pages on my site showing this message. I also see that the EWZ plugins were updated several hours ago so, for the time being, I am assuming the plugins have an error.

    I’m going to attempt to rollback the plugins to see if the problem is with the new versions. Let me know if I can provide more information. Thanks.

    I successfully rolled back the EWZ-Rating plugin to Version 1.1.24 and the ratings pages seem to be working normally. I guess this means there is something wrong with the 1.1.25 update.

    Can you please check your wordpress debug.log file and let me know what error messages appeared? “There has been a critical error on this website” almost always means that there would be some information in that file about what exactly went wrong.

    Hello.

    I didn’t have debugging enabled when the error was initially experienced. After enabling debug logging and updating the plugin to the newest version, I don’t see the error happening. I will continue to monitor and pull a debug log if the error reoccurs.

    I’m getting the same problem after the upgrade. When I go to the EntryWizard Rating Form Management page in the WordPress backend none of my rating forms are visible and I can’t create any new ones. My Rating Schemes are still there and everything else seems to be OK it’s just that all of my Rating Forms are missing.

    If I try to edit the WordPress page that contains the link to one of my rating forms I get a critical error and get an email from WordPress with the following in it:
