Ratings are saved… and then one day disappear just like that

    Since 1 week we’ve tried your plugin.
    We’re using Divi Theme from elegant themes, and a cache plugin WP-supercache… don’t know if it’s compliant with your plugin ?

    In the Divi theme, there is a custom post type called “project” that we use. It’s like a page but it’s called “project” ??

    Your plugin seems to work fine… we selected the rating, and then we selected the type of item “product”. We updated the project and then it was good… we could see the stars.

    But… for a reason we don’t know yet… after maybe 1-2 days… some of the ratings are gone ! (it’s completely random) The yellow stars are going back to a “blank stars” icon, and when we go back to the project… it’s like we never selected any ratings nor any item type…

    So far… happened 3 times in the last week ??

    This is one of our products where the problem happened :

    But all products were affected one day or another.

    Is it a cache issue ? because we do clear the cache 1 to 4 times every week. (as we’re updating the e-shop a lot)

    Hello, sorry for the delay of this answer!

    Yeah, must be a caching problem, but this is strange because yasr has support for wp super cache.
    Can ypu try this:

    After the rating, try to purge cache from both wp super cache and your browser (or just use the incognito mode)

    Yes we tried 2 days ago to clear cache several times from both wp-supercache and browser, after having rated the products and everything was working good at that time.

    But… today it happened once more on several products… so maybe not a cache problem after all. “The truth is elsewhere”

    and as you can see in this code… data-rateit-value=”0.0″ which was at 4.7 is now back to 0.0 . very strange… it happened today “out of nowhere” and this time the last cache clear was as i said above 2 days ago… (but when you read this… i would have put back the ratings)

    happened again and this time we had to re-set the ratings for 14 products…

    thanks for your plugin but we’re going to uninstall it, too much work involved to put back the ratings.
