    Hello,

since the last update you can no longer enter ratings.
The numbers/stars are displayed, but not saved.

    I have the problem on 2 websites.`
Also, I cannot re-evaluate photos that have already been rated. It is not possible to update the rating.

    best regards
    Horst

    Update:

Oddly enough, this only affects the admin accounts. I have created a 2nd account that shows the same symptom.

Other users with rights on the album can apply ratings.

Maybe ‘Rate own photos’ us unchecked. See Basic settings -> Ratings -> Item 13

No, I had already tried that.

When I call the slideshow/album as admin, I don’t see the already made ratings of the other users. Also, as an admin, I can’t edit or delete the photos that were uploaded in the frontend. When I click on the button there is no reaction.

Can that have a problem with Ajax and any rights to do.
I also had a problem when uploading as admin. I had to set for the admin upload at the frontend the setting: Adv.Setting > Users > 5.1 to 2:Extend. Otherwise the upload fails. Normal users had no problem.

Likewise, I had to recreate some albums because the field displays were not correct here either. But the problem seems to be solved.

I use UM as user management, could this be related?

    one more question:

In the album description I have RATING=yes. How can I prevent the rating information from being suppressed in the thumbnails?
BASIC settings -> Ratings : 2 not activated
    But Rating is still displayed.

The setting in the album description overrule the settings for slideshow and thumbnails.

So, if you want it on by slideshow and off on thumbnails, set it on in the slideshow settings, off in the thumbnail setttings and default on the album admin page.

I prefer not having 2 issues in one thread.

The ajax setting ‘normal’ is the recommended setting acording to the developer handbook, but it turns out to be the least reliable.

The ajax setting ‘backend’ is the same as in previous versions ‘Ajax non admin’ unchecked.

The ajax setting ‘extern’ is the same as in previous versions ‘Ajax non admin’ checked.

So, if you still know what worked before, maybe this information helps.

    OK, thanks for the info.

I’ll take another look at the Ajax topic and then open a new topic. The admin doesn’t do any competitions anyway, or who gets their own user account.

The display between slideshow and thumbnails works so far. I didn’t have that at the ready. Thank you.
But you can’t control the ratings like that, can you? I haven’t seen any buttons there.
But that wouldn’t be a problem, because I only activate the ratings (via album settings) after the upload has been completed and the users no longer have access to the album afterwards.

    Thank you for now
