Rather dark theme: Comments and Critics welcome!

Personally I like color (I have proof, just look at my site). Dark, black themes really don’t do it for me. That said, I like this dark version. It’s the first simple layout I’ve seen that I’ve really liked the look of. Good job.

Only complaint: took too long to load. Something needs to be done with the header image – FIVE seconds, on a T-1 connection. Way too long for the image that ultimately appeared.

No problem loading here. And that is definitely one of the best dark themes I have ever seen. Excellent work!

I like the look as well. A great use of hues all around. Too many times I see people use a dark background and then use too bright of accenting colors. That creates considerable visual dissonance for me. Good job!

p.s. image loaded fine for me but I would think you could optimize it down in size.

The site looks good as far as I could see it… but too many things on the front page, so I couldn’t wait until all the items download ?? – had to hit the Back button.

I love the simplicity, the “quietude”. And it loaded really fast – considering I’m on dialup and crap lines at that.

That said, it’s too gloomy for me, but then it’s all subjective, ain’t? My gloom is another’s warm cave-home….

Yay, I worked ~ 7 days on it (and another 2 days on all the WP stuff), it is my first template, and I am totally new to this PHP and SQL thingie *happy*.

Any other statements? I would be very glad about some precise critique that is more specific than “it’s too dark”.
