Rankmath Sitemaps Containing .local

    Hi, loving Simply Static – thank you!

    When using Rankmath SEO plugin and Local as the dev box, the sitemaps generated into the Simply Static output reference the source (.local) domain instead of the target domain.

    These URLs are explicitly included in the Simply Static settings.

    Potential Fix: ensure these files get the search-replace treatment for source vs target URLs before output.

    Thanks for your work! Will be looking for a viable project for the pro version.

    thanks for your report!

    That worked already (I’m using RankMath myself), but it seems that the error was introduced with one of the last updates of RankMath.

    The main problem with these XSL files (RankMath, Yoast, AllInOneSEO) is that they get generated dynamically on requesting the sitemap.xml and are not placed physically in the file system.

    I add that to the list of things I will look into for the next update.
    Maybe I can find a general way to handle that specifically for XML files.
