Ranking error

  • Hi, I’m currently running a league system based on the plugin (version 2.4.3) and it has worked fine till about 2 days ago it starts generating the following error every time I recalculate scores:

    “Something went wrong while (re)calculating the scores. See the help page for details on solving this problem.”

    I’ve tried deactivating & activating it but it still persists. The season is already in the second half & I don’t want to risk everything by re-installing.
    Please how do I solve that?

    I’ve tried disabling some plugins, but to no avail.

    Your error log does not contain any errors that point toward my plugin. And the errors that are logged are just notices or debug messages from another plugin.

    Do you have a lot of players and/or matches? Could be a timeout in the script if the calculation is taking too long.
    Try adding these lines to your wp-config.php file and lowering the values:

    define( 'FOOTBALLPOOL_RECALC_STEP2_DIV', 50 );
define( 'FOOTBALLPOOL_RECALC_STEP3_DIV', 100 );
define( 'FOOTBALLPOOL_RECALC_STEP4_DIV', 50 );
define( 'FOOTBALLPOOL_RECALC_STEP5_DIV', 50 );

    Hi Antoine, sorry I keep coming back, but the error I reported earlier persists & when I added the lines of code you suggested above, I get the following error in my wordpress admin page:

    Fatal error: Call-time pass-by-reference has been removed in /home/…./wp-config.php on line 101

    I’ll appreciate any other suggestion.

    What is on line 101 of you wp-config.php?

    Weird thing, I copied the code again & the “Fatal error: Call-time” error is no more displayed, but the score (re)calculation is still interrupted with error “Something went wrong while (re)calculating the scores….“.

    However, the line 101 is commented out, in between:
    line 99 $table_prefix = ‘wp_’; and
    line 109 define(‘WPLANG’, ”);

    And have you tried lowering the values of the constants?

    E.g.
