rank-math-seo strange 302 error in accesslog

    Hello,

    Since I moved to rank-math-seo I discover several strange 302 error in accesslog (not even in errorlog), like :
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-options-general HTTP/2.0″ 302

    Mainly from bad bots, wondering why ?
    What is this behavior due to ?
    Why error 302 and not 401 ?
    What badbots are looking for there ?

    Hello @expertimmodelarc,

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for not following up quickly and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The 302 is a redirection code. It is strange that you are getting this on the Settings page.

    We checked a few articles online and this is what might help:
    1. Delete the .htaccess file and update the permalinks settings from inside WordPress admin area. WordPress will create a new .htaccess file with the default rules. If it works, then there must be some rules in your .htaccess file which was redirecting the settings page.

    2. If that does not help, and assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins, themes, and WordPress (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

    Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
