    We got demoted a spot on the repository though we have more reviews, more active installs, same score, more translations etc. than the plugin that is before us.
    Can you assist in figuring this out?

    Authors should not worry about being “demoted a spot on the repository though we have more reviews”. Honestly, it isn’t what you think and the “search ranking” is not for anyone to get traffic or business.

    It’s for the user’s to find plugins. If your plugin was “demoted” (your word, not mine) then that’s just how it is. Accept it. ??

    Your plugin may rise or not, the plugin search isn’t for anyone to game.
