Random zero appearing in the top left of my site
-
I have been going crazy trying to figure out this issue. A bit of background on the site first.
I created this site and after installing a few plugins and whatnot, the site got infected with malware. After days of troubleshooting and searching through the files, I found malicious code in multiple files. So I decided to just reupload all of the WordPress files and that seemed to fix the issue. But then appeared a new issue, a random “0” appeared in the top left of the site.
No matter what page I am viewing, it is there. In the dashboard, on the site, everywhere. Looking at the source of the site, the zero appears right below the body tag. I looked through all the files and it doesn’t shop up anywhere. I even restored all of the original WordPress files without any plugins or theme files and it is still there. I am going crazy trying to figure this out. The only thing I have not done is clearing the MySQL databse. This is the last thing I want to try but I don’t see how a zero can be inserted into the page through the DB.
Does anyone have any input or suggestions on things I can check to see where that zero is coming from. Like I said, I have restored all the original WordPress files and it still appears.
Thanks.
