Hi,

On most orders random variations are added to products, and occasionally the quantity of a product is increased, but the total cost equates to what 1x should cost. This is obviously an inventory nightmare. This has been happening

FWIW, in testing I can only replicate an order where incorrect variations appear, not the cost/quantity problem.

I’ve gone through all the typical debug steps, including deactivating every plugin except Woocommerce, and activating the default WP theme. Nothing is turning up on server, woocommerce or wordpress logs.

From the best that I can tell, this is happening right after the customer checks out. In my testing, both cart and checkout objects contain the correct quantity, price and variations throughout the user flow. Once the user gets to paypal and signed in, the order details then show incorrect variations.

Have you tested with another payment gateway? If so, does the problem persist at that point? If not and the problem seems isolated to PayPal, then I would recommend reaching out to Angell Eye directly for support: https://angelleye.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1

They should be able to get this fixed for you.

Hi @laceyrod

Well, I have tested with Paypal that comes with Woocommerce out of the box – the problem persists even while the Angell Eye plugin is deactivated. So the problem does seem isolated to Paypal, but not specific to that plugin. Unfortunately my client doesn’t use another gateway, so I can’t test that. Do you have any other ideas?

I am not sure your problem resolved or not but here is my small suggestion : Please try to regenerate the product lookup table, clear transient cache, Orphaned variations and template cache too from Woocommerce settings->status->tools. If product lookup table got messed up this kind of issue could arise.

Hi @drwpcom. Yes, the issue remains. I’m in the process of setting up a staging site, and am rebuilding the database by deleting everything woo related, then importing products, orders, etc. This is the tedious method we discussed in this thread ??

Seems like this should work, but if not I’ll send in a ticket.
