  • Hi,

I wonder if you can help me. I installed the slide show on my WordPress site and updated to the latest version.

I recently ran into a problem. When I click on categories/uncategorized the page does not display correctly. I created the theme in Artisteer so I thought it might be a theme problem.

Artisteer, however says and proves that it is not they validate the page through https://validator.w3.org/ and inputting the following link:
    https://blog.theofficegiftstore.com/category/uncategorized/

Would you please be so kind as to take a look and make a suggestion as to how I can resolve this issue.

Your assistance will be gratefully appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Timothy Rodriguez

Sorry I posted in your space….new to forums.

@thsbde Thanks! That’s a tricky one, but it turns out it’s really easy to do using metadata.

You just need to make the slides random by setting that to “1”, and then set the startingSlide as the first one, which actually “0”, just like this shortcode example:

    [meteor_slideshow metadata="startingSlide: 0, random: 1"]

@tiro8221 Typically, it’s always a problem with Artisteer, but in this case it isn’t an issue with the theme or a plugin, but with your content:

    <w:worddocument><br />
    <w:view>Normal</w:view><br />
    <w:zoom>0</w:zoom><br />
    <w:trackmoves></w:trackmoves><br />

That’s a snippet of the source code for that page, this is what happens when you copy/paste a Word doc into WordPress. There’s a button in the WordPress post editor for adding Word content to WordPress, or you can use plain text instead:
