Random permanent error

  • I’ve been using this plugin for a while – great software. Recently I had one of my sites stop working. When I went to the login link (the hide backend link) I was redirected to the not_found page.

    I assumed the plugin was disabled so I went to the standard /wp-admin/ but that redirected me to not_found as well.

    I renamed the plugin folder to temporarily disable it. I was able to login, remove and reinstall the plugin, but am unable to configure it. Nothing I do is saved. For example, when I try to configure the Hide Backend option I get the following error.

    An unknown error prevented the request from completing as expected. This could be due to a plugin/theme conflict or a server configuration issue.

    Has anyone experienced something like this and might have a suggestion on how to resolve it?
