We noticed a random meta data showing on the orders and some times the order qty and price is changing in the order details.

Also, noticed the SKU sometimes showing different product. I have added screenshots for the issue below.

    Hi @ansondavis

Thank you for providing the additional information and for your patience as we troubleshoot this issue.

The fact that the problem primarily occurs when a variable product is added to the cart is a significant clue. It seems like there might be a conflict or issue specifically related to how variable products are being handled in your WooCommerce setup.

To ensure we are on the same page, please try creating a new variable product from scratch. Add this product to the cart and see if the issue still occurs. This can help determine if the problem is related to your existing products or if it’s a more general issue with variable products.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi,

I created a new variable product and disabled all the plugins and theme except woocommerce. After purchase i noticed still the unknown meta data is showing on the order page.

Also, we purchased with qty 1 but it showing 2 but the price showing for the 1 qty. This is a big issue we are facing and there is no proper solution provided from your end.

I have added screenshots for reference.

    Hello ansondavis,

    Thank you for your reply

May I ask why you have this option enabled?
Normally this is checked when you want to sync order data between Legacy Storage and the HPOS before completely migrating to the HPOS.

Could you check if disabling this option resolves the issue?
Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi @doublezed2 ,

We disabled that option and no idea who enabled it on the website.

I noticed the issue is still there and I’ve added latest test order screenshot.

    Hello ansondavis,

    Thank you for your reply.

If you suspect any action that you are not aware of, I suggest changing your password.

    Let’s focus on this order.
I have noticed there is one Color and another Colour attribute.
Do you have any idea where “Fluorescent Yellow” and “5/8 Dots Permanent” are used on the website?
This is very specific information that is stored somewhere on the website.
If we can find where is the data coming from, we can work on it and find the cause.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi @doublezed2 ,

I checked the attributes and there is no attributes and value with

    size: 5/8″ Dots Permanent
    colour:Fluorescent Yellow

I have again ordered the same product and I’ve added the new unknown meta data.

    Hi @ansondavis

It’s unusual that you’re seeing attributes that don’t exist in your product data.

One possible solution could be to check your database directly. You could use a tool like phpMyAdmin to inspect the _postmeta and _woocommerce_order_itemmeta tables in your WordPress database. Look for any entries related to the problematic order or product. Please be careful while accessing the database, as changes here can affect your entire site.

Also, you might need to check if there’s any custom code in your theme or a functionality plugin that could be causing this. Even though you’ve disabled all plugins and themes except WooCommerce, some code snippets might be running that could affect the order data.

I understand that this issue is causing some inconvenience, and I assure you that we’re doing our best to help you resolve this. Please let me know how it goes after checking the database and any custom code.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
