• I’ve made a random messages/quotes/jokes plugin today…
    Features:
    * Easy install
    * Nice configuration page
    * Free ??
    Check it out at the wiki (hacks-random messages) or on my blog @ https://www.sotto.be/blog/index.php?p=14
    Have fun with it…
    Oh, i’d appreciate to get your comments about it.

  • Looks cool, sotto. Any advice on where to get all of the quotes/jokes/messages?
    Also, does this pull the stuff from a text file or database?
    Thanks for posting on the Wiki!
    Craig.

    Quotes/jokes/whatever are stored in the mysql database
    My plugin creates two tables,
    1 for groups
    1 for quotes
    so you can sort out the quotes & the jokes, and have quotes somewhere & jokes on another place in your site, without having to install a script twice with all complications along, but run it from 1 script.
    for a list of quotes i refer to good ol’ friend google
    As i said, script includes a nice interface to manage quotes in the db … so wouldn’t be too big of a task to get them in your db if you had a textfile with all quotes

    I’m looking for this plugin or one similar for WP1.5
    any ideas?
