• Several of my wordpress installations are having similar issues. Sometimes, when I save changes in my post or theme edits, random letter or numbers will appear to replace part of my post or code (for them file edits online).

I suspect an issue with the online editors, since this issue is seen when I edit my post/theme files and save them via the editor/post area. Is there a fix for this issue? Or what could be causing the problem?

My hosting support had even reinstalled wordpress for me to no avail.

  • Can you post your site URL?

I’m unable to do that as I’ve deleted those wordpress installations. And for the last existing one, I’ve corrected the issue remotely, by avoiding the use of the theme editor and the post editor.

I’m looking for a solution, so that I can go back to using the post editor to post without having some of my words becoming like this: Somet%2es.

Are you using a non-english character set? This would happen if the translation characters to code and someone turned off the filtering of it from within the theme or plugin.

To test: Disable all plugins and revert to the twentyten or twentyeleven themes then do the post as you normally would or edits and see if it continues.

If it doesn’t happen then you can start narrowing it down to what is doing it. I have seen a few themes that turn off the filtering (for some reason or another)
