• Hi Angell Eye

I have tried to get this plugin to coexist with other plugins but to no avail. There appears to be no specific error every time; rather it depends on what plugins are in combination. The latest error I had was with Geo my WP. Geo my WP simply did not work. As soon as I deactivated Offers, Geo my WP started working again. On another installation, The Astra theme header was displaying the unformatted text of one of the WC products. As soon as I deactivated Offers, Astra no longer presented this random piece of text.

Every time there is an update to the plugin, I upload it and try again, but to no avail. I suspect that classes and variable names may not have sufficient uniqueness and so clash with another plugin’s code.

I really need this plugin’s functionality, but I cannot continue down this path and must eventually give up on it. Has anybody else had this type of behaviour?

That’s strange. We aren’t getting any other such reports. Do you have a caching or CDN system in place that may need to be cleared after installing our plugin? It sounds like you could have some jQuery stuff conflicting.

Yep, SG Dynamic Cache, FacetWP cache, Cloudflare are all part of the mix. I think that cache would be prerequisite. I do agree that there could be some jQuery stuff. I am not an expert in that regard, which is very frustrating. Could marketplace plugins be presenting a problem?

I would be happy for you to have a look but would need a private channel to provide you with credentials.

We’re sorry that you’re having trouble – I think that we can help. There appears to be a conflict between the plugins and/or themes that you have installed, as we’ve not received reports of this issue from other users/customers. Additionally, we attempted to reproduce this issue using our testing environment and things are working as expected. Please try the following debug steps:

    1. Check your site’s PHP version and make sure that it is 5.6 or above
    2. Disable all plugins with the exception of WooCommerce and Offer for WooCommerce, and determine whether or not the issue is still occurring
    3. Re-enable additional plugins one by one, testing after each add-on is enabled, in order to find the culprit

If, after disabling all additional plugins, you are still seeing the same issue, then switch to basic twenty theme with both WooCommerce and Offer for WooCommerce enabled and then check once again.

Please follow these steps and let us know your results.

    Thank you!

I think I may have isolated the problem with the product title appearing in the header. Could you test and confirm compatibility with WC Product Add-Ons? As soon as I activate this plugin, I get the problem when “Offers” is activated. As soon as I deactivate either “Offers” or “Add-Ons”, the problem disappears.

We have not tested that plugin yet, maybe you should put that feedback onto the WC Product Add-Ons support and see what they got for you? If they say that is something we need to fix in our plugin then we will be happy to help in this regard if relevant information is provided though.

Please check that and let me know. Thanks!

    Hi Oliver
I suspect we will be dealing with a “Where does the 500lb gorilla sit?” situation. Automattic may be too big to come to the party ??

    Ah well, another time.

No, don’t do that. If the author took you up on that offer then they would risk getting into real trouble here. That’s too far.

There are many ways to get information you need to the author and accessing a user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing a user’s system that way is a short cut that will get the plugin author into real trouble in these forums.

@jdembowski Thanks for the clarification in this situation.

@mlargue I’m so sorry that you feel that way but If both plugins are conflicting then each author should also be informed, with that thing in mind I asked you to create a support ticket in their forum as well. We are always happy to help whenever there will be some issue from our plugin.

I have already added this into our backlog and will definitely run some test and see if there are any adjustments required then will get those in a future release. I can’t get this added to our current sprint as its going to end soon may be in a day or so. Hope that clears the situation.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver

@jdembowski Thanks Jan. Unfortunately, I am not that familiar with the protocols

@abgelleyesupport Normally I would be prepared to do what you requested, but I am up against a deadline. Unfortunately, “Offers” integration can be delayed for a while and there are other issues that I need to rather resolve. I will be revisiting the situation at a later date
