• I like the idea of having images rotate through on page loads of my wordpress site, but I don’t like it that it rotates on every single page load. I’d rather have it rotate once a day, or once a week. Anyone know of a theme mod that might do that?

    thanks!

  • Generally, rotation is controlled by javascript — and you can set the frequency that it rotates in the javascript code. But that would depend on how the images and rotation are coded. Are you using a plug-in or is it part of your theme?

Oh sorry, missed your last sentence. You’ll have to look through themes and read the details about what’s included. Or look at plug ins that do that kind of thing.

But be aware that things like that can be troublesome and almost always slow down the page load.

I’m sure I’ll need to start poking around in the templates directory. But Do you have any further advice on which/where files to look in for the php code for this image rotation? I can write something to make it slower, but I need to know where to go, how to call images attached to that pages gallery etc.
