Random Image Attachement

Hi there,

I am looking to have a section of the home page of a clients blog that will show a random image attachment (that has been uploaded using the uploader and in the gallery) for a random post from a certain category.

I can do it with a custom field but that means that client having to create the custom field each time they write a post. I would rather it be done by just uploading the image and the I can do all the ‘hard work’ in the code which just checks to see if there is an upload and the displays the first uploaded image.

Is there a piece of code that anyone knows that will do this?
