    Hi there,

I don’t believe that the image is actually in the widget. Your site comes with a lot of payload and with a slow internet connection it takes some time to load.

With what browser and device do you see the image? I noticed that it takes quite a while until the sidebar is loaded. But it stays in its place with FF on Mac. So, I don’t see an image appearing.

I have however noticed that sometimes before the sidebar is fully loaded, some browser device combinations (or does it have to do with the style sheet?) might reduce it to 0px width, which would show a post from the main loop first (with possibly a picture).

I have tried to go back and forth between the forum and the post for while now. I couldn’t reproduce the mistake.

    Best,
    Stefan

It’s happening to more than on person, in more than one state, on more than one computer. It’s a randomly generated pictures from a blog entry — it isn’t the previous blog entry or something predictable. I just replicated the issue several times in Chrome and IE, and each time it generated a different picture.

I don’t think the image is in the widget either — the setting are clearly marked to show no images. But for some reason it is pulling in images from the site, and they are below the widget title and the widget text. Very strange!

Also, be sure to use the “Back to forum” link at the top of the post, and not the back button on your browser to get the image to appear.

That’s exactly, what I did. I still can’t see an image.

I can’t test it in IE before tomorrow, since I don’t own a windows computer. I will try out, how Chrome behaves.

That is very strange in deed. Sorry that I cannot help for the moment. I hope, we find something. Did you check for any interferences with other plugins or the theme?

Edit: Having written the last reply, I just reproduced the error. I will try to figure out, where the image comes from.

I’m sorry, I don’t know how to check for interference. Is that something I do manually?

    Thanks!

Yes, you do that manually. By turning off all other plugins except of the featured post widget. Then you look whether or not you still can reproduce the error.

If not, you turn the other plugins on again one by one. As soon as the mistake appears again, you know which plugin is interfering with mine. Can be quite a long procedure, in deed.

    Hello again,

I had now several updates for the plugin. Do you still encounter the strange behaviour of that thing?
