I’ve noticed that when I go into Customizer, there is no “Header Image” item as with other themes. I previously used this functionality to add a random header image – how could I do that with Blocksy?

    Hello @ulim,
That’s because we use a different approach here.

You can set a hero/header image from the Page/Post title section, here is a quick video that explains this better.

    Hope this helps ??

    Hello,
I’ve tried to follow your video, but somehow I must be missing something, because I cannot get a header image to appear. In your video the image appears right after you select an image from the media library – but when I do that nothing happens. The header remains at it was before (as built by the header builder) and the page content does not change either.

But it seems to me that your method does not create a header background image anyway, because in the video it clearly shows that the image is below the header menu. I would like to have it in the header area as the topmost element and the header menu should be below it.

    Kind regards,
    Ulrich

Following up on myself – I just happened to restart my browser and now the image appears, so it was a browser refresh issue. Sorry for that, but my point still remains that the image is below the header, but I was looking for a header image.

    Hey @ulim,
You could add an image to a header row if that helps you, here is a video.

Let me know if this is what you want.

    Have a nice weekend ??

Fantastic stuff! I just didn’t come up with the idea to click on “color” to get a chance to define a background image ??

Anyway, I am growing more fond of the theme by the day. Many super features, you just have to know how to get there. Those header background image options are really great. Now, for the ultimate prize, can I make this a random image selected from a pool? Probably stuff for a plugin?

    Kind regards,
    Ulrich

    Hello @ulim,
Sorry but unfortunately you can’t set a random image unless you write some custom code but I’m afraid this could impact your loading performance.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers.

How about having different header images for different sections of the website?

    Kind regards,

    Hey @ulim,
Sorry but I’m not sure I understand you, could you please explain a little bit more detailed?

A header image is an image in the header, but you want to see an image inside other sections or what?

Sorry for being unclear, I’m still not that familiar with WordPress and its lingo, but I’m learning ??

What I mean is that my website has different pages, for example “About us” or “Contact us” or of course the homepage and the blog page. I was wondering if the header image could be different for some of these pages. So I would have image A on the homepage and image B on “Contact us”. I suppose you could also rephrase this question as “can I have different headers for different pages”?

    Kind regards,
    Ulrich

    Hey @ulim,
Than you should use the Page/Post title option and set it to Type 2 and use the featured image option, please see this video.

Let me know if this helps ??

    Cheers.

Many thanks for your help, but I think I am just too bad at explaining. Here’s a screenshot how my website looks:
    Screenshot
What I want to do is just change the mountains for a different picture on some pages. I think this is probably not possible, because the mountain image is part of the header and I can only have one header for the entire site.

    Kind regards,
    Ulrich

    Hey @ulim,
Thanks for explanation, this makes sense but unfortunately this is not possible until you make this with some custom CSS.

    Hope this helps.
